Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

Southeast Georgia

About the Role

A well-established hospital in southeast Georgia is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide strategic leadership and oversee all nursing operations. This role is a unique opportunity to lead in a rural hospital setting while living in close proximity to the Georgia coast and several major metropolitan areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and direction for all nursing and clinical services.
  • Partner with the executive team to align nursing operations with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop nurse leaders, ensuring high engagement and retention of nursing staff.
  • Drive patient safety, quality, and satisfaction outcomes across the hospital.
  • Maintain survey readiness and compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Current RN license (Georgia or compact state).
  • 7+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a senior executive or CNO role.
  • Strong understanding of rural healthcare operations and critical access hospital regulations.
  • Proven track record of improving patient outcomes and building high-performing nursing teams.

Compensation & Benefits
